Air and Land Managers Activities

This page last reviewed October 1, 2014

In 2003, representatives from the ARB Executive Office began meeting with management from the U.S. Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management, the National Park Service, CAL-FIRE, and CAPCOA to discuss issues of mutual concern regarding smoke management. Through this initial contact, the Air and Land Managers group was formed. The Air and Land Managers meetings provide a forum for decision makers to gain a better prospective on federal, state and local issues associated with smoke management in California.
