OIS is seeking an IT Specialist I (IT Spec I) to provide technical support to CARB end users. This includes responding to Service Desk tickets, analyzing, interpreting, troubleshooting, documenting solutions, teaming with other co-workers who serve on the Service Desk, and acting as a liaison between end users and OIS technical staff. Assists and analyzes hardware/software problems, upgrade and maintain more complex hardware/software inventory, perform printer maintenance, pickup/deliver hardware, software, and toner; assist with surveying out old equipment. Oversees the problem management process and escalated issues to appropriate servicing units. Air Resources Engineer

The Fuels Section of the Industrial Strategies Division is responsible for supporting the Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) by developing and maintaining the LCFS Reporting Tool (LRT), Credit Banking and Transfer System (CBTS), and Alternative Fuels Portal (AFP); working with fuel reporting entities to ensure proper registration in the LCFS and reporting of data; analyzing data submitted by fuel reporting entities and preparing this data for dissemination to the public in various forms; recommending enforcement action for LCFS violations; developing and implementing provisions to promote the transition to zero emission transportation; developing and implementing provisions to establish a futures market for LCFS credits; and monitoring the LCFS credit market to deter and detect manipulation. Clients include fuel producers and marketers, utilities, automakers, charging equipment providers and hydrogen station developers, ports and terminal operators, technology manufacturers, project proponents, consultants, and other governmental agencies.

ISD is seeking an Air Resources Engineer to identify, study, and propose policies and methods that promote alternative fuel production and use, as well as the transition to zero and near-zero emission vehicles; to help implement the LCFS regulation by working with fuel reporting entities to explain the requirements of the regulation and assist with registration and reporting; to track, analyze and prepare reported data for public dissemination; and to develop reporting system improvements.
