Air Resources Engineer

The Zero Emission Truck and Bus Section is seeking a self-motivated, forward thinking, detail-oriented, technical savvy, and responsible candidate with great communication skills for an Air Resources Engineer position. The Zero Emission Truck and Bus Section is responsible for conducting the regulatory development, evaluation, implementation, and outreach of control measures and policy recommendations to reduce emissions from in-use heavy-duty vehicles. The Air Resources Engineer will, under direction from the Air Resources Supervisor, participate as a team member to perform sound technical analysis and foster effective communications between technology and public policy. Staff Air Pollution Specialist

TTD is recruiting for a SAPS to work in its Freight Policy Section. The Section is focused on supporting California’s Sustainable Freight Action Plan, which is charged with identifying opportunities for CARB to accelerate the use of zero and near-zero emission technologies used in the freight system, as well as the air quality and community health impacts from freight facilities and the freight transport system. This includes supporting the development of a freight guidance document (Freight Handbook) for use by local agencies, and working with local communities and stakeholders to provide early input on the design, location, and use of zero and near-zero emission technologies at large freight facilities.
