ARB Settles Air Quality Violations for the Month of April

       SACRAMENTO The California Air Resources Board (ARB) today announced three settlements have been reached involving companies that violated California's air quality regulations.  The specifics of each case are as follows:

Company: Los Gatos Auto Mall, Los Gatos, California
Violation: Offered for sale non-California certified motor vehicles to California residents.
When: December 4, 1997
Settlement: $10,500

Company: G.P. Resources, Inc., Santa Fe Springs, California
Violation: Offered for sale or sold vehicular diesel fuel with aromatic hydrocarbon limits above the ARB's standard.
When: June 26, 1998
Settlement: $1,000

Company: Pacific Atlas Oil, Inc., Monrovia, California and its subsidiary, Paramount Services, Paramount, California
Violation: Sold or offered for sale gasoline with a Reid Vapor Pressure that exceeded state standards.
When: April, 1998
Settlement: $1,000
