CARB List Server Disclaimer Information

This page last reviewed August 12, 2014

YOU are responsible for ensuring that you are subscribed to any given list. If you have any doubts about your status, please go to our list serve top page, input your email address twice, identify the relevant group list(s) and select, find your subscriber list of interest and confirm that there is a check mark in the box to the left of that list. Please check the box for any and all lists for which you want to receive our list serve broadcasts.

If the ARB receives a bounced email from your email administrator, we may delete your address from our system depending upon the error message type we receive. If the Air Resources Board (ARB) issued a public subscriber list serve broadcast, the text of that broadcast can always be found in that list's archive or simply go to What's New for a chronological archive of all list serve broadcasts since March 2007. To find the archive for any specific list, please go to our list serve top page, select the specific group of lists, click on the "Display Email Lists & Archives" button, and then click on the appropriate "Archive" link in the right hand column.

If you find that you are subscribed to a list but are still not getting emails found in the archive for that list, then please:

  1. Confirm that you have Internet email connectivity; then

  2. Confirm that your mailbox is not full or near capacity; or

  3. Your email service may be preventing you from receiving our list serve message. You may have a desktop spam filter preventing our email or you may want to talk to your email / spam filter administrator to allow our list serve messages through to your email in-tray.

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) News Feeds:

If none of these seem to be the problem, you may wish to subscribe to ARB's What's New RSS feed which will provide you with a listing of every ARB list serve posting.. RSS gives internet users an easy way to keep up the latest information being published by the ARB on our website without having to give us your email address. NOTE: You will need a Web 2.0 browser (e.g., Firefox, I.E. latest version, etc.) to access these RSS feeds.

Board Comment Lists:

Please note that under the California Public Records Act (Govt. Code Section 6250, et. seq.), your written and oral comments, attachments, and associated contact information (e.g., your address, phone, email, etc.) become part of the public record and can be released to the public upon request. If ever you provide an electronic comment to an item presented to our Board, you will be placed on a list serve associated with that subject. If you would like to be removed from such a list, please email our Clerk of the Board and provide the six to twelve character name of the list. Also, if you submit a comment, it is possible (or likely) that Google or other search engines will display your comment and whatever personal information (i.e., your U. S. Postal Service address, phone, email, etc.) that you provide the ARB.

If after submitting an electronic comment and you are certain you have provided us with your correct email address and you do not receive an email acknowledgment from the CARB, there is probably a problem at your end. Please review the above three potential causes and if none of these apply, then please subscribe to our RSS feed or contact the Clerk of the Board.
