DMS – Authorization Letters MAC 07-01 On Mach 16, 2007, Manufacturers Advisory Correspondence (MAC) 07-01 was issued which explains the Air Resources Board’s (ARB’s) policy regarding the use of electronic signatures in the ARB’s Document Management System (DMS). We appreciated the prompt responses. Some responding manufacturers who are certifying in more than one categories (e.g., light-duty vehicles/trucks, on-highway heavy-duty engines and vehicles, small spark-ignition engines, off-road compression-ignition engines, etc.) did not include the category (ies) each listed person is authorized to sign documents for submitting into ARB’s DMS. Per this notification, please include in your authorization letters the category (ies) that each person is authorized to sign the certification documents for your company.
