Helping California truckers drive legally, public webinars to
explain California diesel regulations

Sacramento – If you are a trucker, dispatcher or fleet owner, are
you sure you know how to comply with the state’s rules for clean
diesel trucks? California is midway through a multi-year program
to clean up diesel trucks that operate in California, and each
year brings important new elements and deadlines.

To help, the California Air Resources Board (ARB) is hosting
workshops on the internet (webinars) to help explain the rules
for 2016 so everyone involved in the truck industry can continue
operating legally within the State.

The next webinars will take place on the following days:

On January 19th and 26th in English, and
On January 20th and 22nd in Spanish

ARB is in charge of enforcing air pollution regulations affecting
all types of heavy-duty diesel vehicles operating within
California to control pollution from diesel exhaust, as part of
the Diesel Risk Reduction Plan.

Diesel exhaust contains a variety of harmful gases and more than
40 other known cancer-causing compounds. In 1998, California
identified diesel particulate matter as a toxic air contaminant
based on its potential to cause cancer, premature death and other
health problems.

California is in a drought emergency.
