Modification of the ESW Technologies (ESWT) ThermaCat™e system . Modification of the ESW Technologies (ESWT) ThermaCat™e system The Air Resources Board (ARB) has approved an additional manifold absolute pressure sensor and software update to the ThermaCat™e system. The ThermaCatTMe system is verified as a Level 3 Plus diesel emission control system for use with select 4 to 13 liters, 150 to 400 horsepower on-road diesel engines. ESWT also allows diesel particulate filter swapping and ThermaCat™e system redesignation provided certain conditions are met. The ThermaCat™e system uses a silicon carbide wall-flow filter with a fuel burner for regeneration to achieve an 85 percent reduction in particulate matter emissions.
