recording of the California Sustainable Freight Action Plan
webinar, which was held on October 1, 2015.  

During the webinar, staff provided an overview of the plan
development process, proposed content, and sought public input on
what potential actions (e.g. measures, incentives, funding,
partnerships) will be needed to develop a sustainable freight
transport system in California.

Background

In July 2015, Governor Brown issued Executive Order B-32-15,
which directs his administration to create an integrated freight
action plan by July 2016 that establishes clear targets to
improve freight efficiency, transition to zero-emission
technologies, and increase competitiveness of California’s
freight system.  The plan will also identify State policies,
programs, and investments that could achieve these targets.
