The workshop will be held on: +Monday, September 21, 2015 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. City of Redding Community Room 777 Cypress Ave Redding, CA 96001 Wheelchair Accessible +Background Join the California Energy Commission and local representatives for a discussion on opportunities to develop local community-scale renewable energy projects in the North State and rural communities across the Sierra Nevada range, with a focus on woody biomass. Community-scale renewable energy refers to projects that are planned, developed, and/or owned by a group of customers and are typically sized less than 20 megawatts. Community-scale projects are generally located close to electricity demand and consist of locally-available renewable resources, such as solar and agricultural waste.
