The Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development
(GO-Biz) will host a webinar for businesses interested in
applying for California Competes tax credits. This fiscal year,
GO-Biz will award $200 million to businesses interested in
expanding and adding jobs.

Background

The California Competes Tax Credit was created by Governor Brown
and is focused on helping businesses stay and grow in California.
Last fiscal year, GO-Biz allocated approximately $150 million to
212 companies that are projected to create over 29,400 jobs and
make over $7.1 billion in investments. Applications for this
round of awards must be received by August 17th. Businesses can
apply at www.CalCompetes.ca.gov.
