msei -- PUBLIC RELEASE OF EMFAC2014 UPDATE, v1.0.7

Posted: 15 May 2015 22:39:14
Today, ARB is releasing an updated version (v1.0.7) of EMFAC2014
to the public. This version will replace the current version
(v1.0.1) that was previously released in December 2014. The new
version will be submitted to USEPA for approval.

The latest version (v1.0.7) of the model represents ARB's current
understanding of motor vehicle travel activities and their
associated emission levels. A list of updates that have been made
since the initial release of v1.0.1 is available at
http://www.arb.ca.gov/msei/emfac2014_updates.htm.

It is strongly recommended that users thoroughly read the updated
User's Guide before installing and running the model. You can
download the latest EMFAC2014 Installation Package, the User's
Guide, the Technical Documentation, and the PL Handbook at
http://www.arb.ca.gov/msei/categories.htm.

In addition, a corresponding EMFAC2014 (v1.0.7) Web Database is
now available at http://www.arb.ca.gov/emfac. This database is
based on default EMFAC2014 (v1.0.7) activity data. A companion
database that will have specific MPO activity data updates is
currently under development. Please note that although both
EMFAC2011 and EMFAC2014 versions of the Web Database are
available now, EMFAC2011 is still the currently USEPA approved
version of EMFAC.

ARB will be scheduling training webinars that will provide
tutorials on how to use EMFAC2014. Please join the MSEI email
list at
http://www.arb.ca.gov/listserv/listserv_ind.php?listname=msei if
you would like to be informed of the dates and times of future
training webinars as well as general developments related to
EMFAC2014.

If you have any questions about EMFAC2014, please contact us at
emfac2014@arb.ca.gov.

Sincerely,

The EMFAC Team
