What's New List Serve Post Display

The California Air Resources Board (ARB or Board) staff invites
you to participate in a workshop on Monday, March 16, 2015, to
discuss the updated ARB Vision Scenario Planning modeling tool
and methodologies for developing scenarios. 

California has a history of utilizing technology, cleaner energy,
and efficiency improvements to address air quality issues.  As
California looks into the future, strategies are needed to
continue to meet our long term air quality and climate goals. 
ARB’s Vision tool provides a resource to help plan for these long
term goals through a coordinated examination of strategies across
a wide range of sectors.

At this “kick-off” workshop, staff will describe ARB’s plan for a
comprehensive scenario assessment framework and will focus
discussions on the Vision 2.0 model structure and scenario
development methodology.  Staff will also present ARB’s
preliminary Vision 2050 baseline scenario projections for the
transportation sector.  Results from on-going scenario
assessments are not a focus of this meeting; staff will schedule
future workshops to discuss scenarios that achieve emission
targets when complete.  Staff encourages you to attend this
workshop and contribute to the development of assumptions for
consideration in the scenario modeling and strategy development
process.
