The California Air Resources Board (ARB) staff has posted materials related to Indirect Land Use Change (iLUC). These are related to the iLUC analysis presented in the Initial Statement of Reasons for the re-adoption of the Low Carbon Fuel Standard. The materials are as follows: 1) GTAP Model used for ARB iLUC Analysis posted on Purdue Website (originally posted on 04/01/2014) 2) AEZ-EF Model v.52 with input sheet to be used with model 3) Report by David Rocke on YPE 4) Methodology used to estimate water stressed regions 5) Sheet detailing estimating water stressed regions The iLUC materials can be found at: http://www.arb.ca.gov/fuels/lcfs/lcfs_meetings/lcfs_meetings.htm#11202014. If you have questions, please contact John Courtis at jcourtis@arb.ca.gov, or via telephone at (916) 323 2661. The LCFS, a regulation to reduce the carbon intensity of fuels sold in California ten percent by 2020, is one of the measures adopted by ARB, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Sections 38500-38599 (AB 32) to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in California. It is designed to help clean the air, protect the environment, and drive the development of clean, low-carbon fuels. California is in a drought emergency.
