consprod -- 2013 Consumer and Commercial Products Survey

Posted: 10 Jul 2014 18:08:10
The California Air Resources Board (ARB) staff has posted
materials regarding the 2013 Consumer and Commercial Products
Survey (2013 Survey). The materials posted include a letter
addressed to responsible parties regarding the start date and
overall survey timeline, a frequently asked questions (FAQs)
document, a beta-version of the Consumer Products Reporting Tool
(CPRT), and draft survey instructions.

In order to ensure accurate and complete electronic reporting for
the 2013 Survey, ARB staff is conducting a beta test for the CPRT
and the draft survey instructions that begins today and ends on
August 8, 2014. Additional details regarding the beta test are
available in the letter and FAQ document.

The newly posted materials are available on the Consumer Products
Program website at:
http://www.arb.ca.gov/consprod/regact/2013surv/2013main.htm.

General information about the Consumer Products Program is
available at the following address:
http://www.arb.ca.gov/consprod/consprod.htm.

ARB’s Consumer Products Program is a key part of overall efforts
to reduce the amount of smog-forming volatile organic compounds,
toxic air contaminants, and greenhouse gasses that are emitted
from use of chemically formulated consumer products in
California. ARB’s Consumer Products Regulations have resulted in
projected emission reductions of nearly 50 percent since 1990.
ARB’s Consumer Product Survey is an important step in collecting
information on consumer products that are sold or supplied for
use in California. The data collected from the Consumer Product
Survey are designed to support the statewide consumer product
inventory, speciation profiles used in criteria pollutant
modelling, and future rulemakings.
