The California Air Resources Board (ARB) staff invites you to participate in a webinar on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, to discuss ARB’s ongoing assessment of the air quality impacts from biodiesel use. The purpose of the webinar is to discuss ARB’s recently completed biodiesel emissions characterization study, the resulting new data, and the preliminary analysis including this additional data. At the webinar, staff will discuss the study and its experimental approach including the test procedure, fuels, engines, and test cycles. Staff will address related comments on the study from the April 17th workshop. Staff will also present the data from the study and staff’s preliminary data analysis. The preliminary conclusions of the data analysis and any updates to the regulatory proposal will be covered at a future workshop. To facilitate the webinar, staff will release the final biodiesel emissions characterization study report, as well as a comprehensive emissions database containing all the data used in the preliminary data analysis.
