arbcombo -- New Conditional Verification — Stationary Emergency Standby Generators
Posted: 24 Apr 2014 14:23:51
The Air Resources Board (ARB) has conditionally verified the Miratech Holdings, LLC, low temperature regeneration diesel oxidation catalyst/diesel particulate filter (MIRATECH® LTR™ DOC/DPF) passive diesel exhaust filter system for certified Tier 3, 2, or 1 diesel engines operating on CARB diesel fuel used in a stationary application associated with emergency standby generators. The MIRATECH® LTR™ DOC/DPF uses an oxidation catalyst and downstream particulate filter to achieve at least an 85 percent reduction in particulate matter emissions qualifying it for a Level 3 Plus verification. Level 3 Plus verification means that the system will reduce diesel particulate matter (PM) emissions by 85 percent or more and meets the January 2009 NO2 limit. Specific engine conditions for which the MIRATECH® LTR™ DOC/DPF has been approved may be found in the conditional verification letter. The MIRATECH® LTR™ DOC/DPF is conditionally verified for a period not to exceed one year from the date of the verification letter. This stationary emergency standby generator conditional verification letter is available on our website at the link below: http://www.arb.ca.gov/diesel/verdev/vt/stationary.htm The Regulation for the Verification Procedure for In-Use Strategies to Control Emissions from Diesel Engines was created and adopted by our Board on May 16, 2002. The goal of the Verification Procedure is to ensure that verified systems produce emissions reductions consistent with the verification level and that they are durable and compatible with various engines and applications. Additional information on the regulation is available at the following link: http://www.arb.ca.gov/diesel/verdev/verdev.htm If you have any questions regarding this verification, please contact John Lee at 916.327.5975 or via e-mail at jlee@arb.ca.gov.
