arbcombo -- Agro-Ecological Zone – Emissions Factor (AEZ-EF) Model

Posted: 14 Mar 2014 13:59:15
The California Air Resources Board (ARB) staff has posted the
Agro-Ecological Zone-Emissions Factor (AEZ-EF) model and a report
providing details about the model. This is a preliminary version
and was used to compute indirect Land Use Change (iLUC) values
presented at the workshop on March 11, 2014. Additional
refinements are in progress and an updated version will be made
available once all changes have been incorporated into the model.
Staff has not verified this model to be compatible with earlier
versions of GTAP published by ARB. This version is compatible
with a version of the GTAP model (used for the draft results
discussed on March 11, 2014) that will be published on this
website in two weeks.

The model and the report can be found at:

The LCFS, a regulation to reduce the carbon intensity of fuels
sold in California ten percent by 2020, is one of the measures
adopted by ARB, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Sections
38500-38599 (AB 32) to reduce greenhouse gases in California. It
is designed to help clean the air, protect the environment, and
drive the development of clean, low-carbon fuels to improve
California's energy security and energy independence.

California is in a drought emergency.
