PUBLIC WORKSHOP TO DISCUSS IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NEW WARRANTY
REQUIREMENTS OF THE VERIFICATION PROCEDURE . 

Air Resources Board (ARB or Board) invites all interested parties
to participate in a public workshop focused on the warranty
reporting requirements for verified device manufacturers and
authorized installers of verified diesel emission control
strategies.  Special attention will be given to the new reporting
requirements for verified device installers (report due March 1,
2014) as well as how this affects the verified device
manufacturers’ warranty report obligations (manufacturer warranty
report due April 1, 2014).

Background:  The Verification Procedure is used to evaluate
diesel emission control strategies to determine if they obtain
real and durable reductions of particulate matter and/or oxides
of nitrogen thereby allowing them to be used as fleet rule
compliance options.  The Procedure requires device manufacturers
and the authorized installers to provide yearly warranty reports.
 Changes to these requirements became effective on October 1,
2013.
