Come visit us at IHACI 34th Annual HVAC/R/SM Performance Contracting Trade Show . The Air Resources Board’s Refrigerant Management Program (RMP) will be at booth 823 at the upcoming IHACI Conference and Trade Show in Pasadena, California on November 13, 2013. Admission to the trade show is free. With 2014 Registration and Reporting deadlines fast approaching, this is a great opportunity to come by and meet us and get the latest information on the RMP regulation and the online R3 registration and reporting tool. The RMP regulation requires that all facilities with refrigeration systems with a charge of more than 50 pounds of a high global warming refrigerant conduct periodic leak inspections, promptly repair leaks, and retain records of service to their systems. Refrigeration technicians and service companies may benefit their clients with refrigeration systems by helping them comply with the inspections, repairs, and recordkeeping requirements of the regulation. The regulation requires all facilities with large refrigeration systems, those with 2,000 pounds of refrigerant or more submit their next Annual Report to the ARB by March 1, 2014 for their 2013 refrigeration system leak inspections, leak repairs, and other system servicing. Medium refrigeration systems, those with 200 pounds or more, but less than 2,000 pounds, must submit their registration and first Annual Report by March 1, 2014 for their 2013 refrigeration system leak inspections, leak repairs, and other system servicing. Refrigerant distributors, wholesalers, and reclaimers are also required to submit an Annual Report of their 2013 aggregated annual refrigerant sales, transactions, and disposal by the March 1, 2014 due date. Additional required service practices may directly affect refrigeration technician and service companies. For more details on the requirements of the regulation, please visit our booth at the trade show or visit the program web page at: www.arb.ca.gov/stoprefrigerantleaks.
