harborcraft -- Carl Moyer Grant Funds Available

The Carl Moyer Program provides monetary grants to help businesses and public agencies clean up their heavy-duty diesel engines, including marine engines, to obtain emission reductions that go beyond that required by air pollution regulations. Currently, the South Coast Air Quality Management District (South Coast AQMD) is accepting applications for the 2007 Carl Moyer Program. Other local air districts may also have Carl Moyer Program funding available. If you do not live or work in the South Coast AQMD, check with your local air district for applications, available funds, and deadlines. The grants cover some or all of the cost difference between purchasing a newer cleaner engine/vehicle, and rebuilding the existing engine. Also, the program funds can be available for California Air Resources Board verified retrofit technologies. Applications to the South Coast AQMD are due no later than 1 p.m., Friday May 4, 2007.
