gmbond -- ARB PROP 1B: GOODS MOVEMENT INCENTIVES WORKSHOPS

Posted: 01 Jul 2013 17:47:43
The California Air Resources Board (ARB) invites you to
participate in a series of public workshops to discuss
preliminary recommendations for funding awards to local and State
agencies for projects through the Proposition 1B: Goods Movement
Emission Reduction Program (Program). The purpose of the
workshops is to receive public input on how the funds should be
distributed among the eligible projects within each of
California’s four (4) priority trade corridors to reduce freight
emissions.

The dates and locations for the workshops are July 11th in
Fresno, July 11th in Los Angeles, and July 15th in Sacramento.
The Sacramento workshop will be webcast, and live video feed has
been set up for alternative locations to telecast the Fresno
workshop.

For more information on these workshops, including times and
locations, please see the workshop notice which is available at:
http://www.arb.ca.gov/gmbond.

Background: The Proposition 1B: Goods Movement Emission
Reduction Program is a partnership between ARB and local agencies
(like air districts, ports, and transportation agencies) to
quickly reduce air pollution emissions and health risk from
freight movement along California’s four (4) priority trade
corridors. ARB provides funding to eligible agencies; those
agencies then offer financial incentives to owners of equipment
used in freight movement to upgrade to cleaner technologies.
