ms-mailings -- Electronic Certification System (E-Cert) Final Light-Duty Data Requirements Workshop

On July 31st, 2013, the California Air Resources Board staff plan on conducting a public workshop at its facilities in El Monte, California and via Webinar on how to submit on-road light-duty and medium-duty certification applications to CARB’s Electronic Certification system (E Cert). In advance of this workshop, staff is posting the following documents to http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/arbecert/arbecert.htm : • Final E-Cert Data Requirements o This document details the property for each field in the database (name, description, size and domain). A new column titled “Required by CSI” was added and indicates fields that are required for a particular vehicle fuel category and operating fuel combination. • Final XML schema o The XML schema details the structure for properly formatting the XML file. Again, this final XML schema includes changes made to the Data Requirements document. • Final InfoPath Form o The InfoPath form is a user-friendly application which provides manufacturers with an alternative a means of creating an XML file. This file also includes changes made to the Data Requirements document. • User Guides o These user guides illustrate which fields are required for each vehicle fuel category and operating fuel combination.
