ab2588 -- The amendments to the AB 2588 Air Toxics “Hot Spots” Emission Inventory Criteria and Guidelines Regulation were approved by OAL

The amendments to the AB 2588 Air Toxics “Hot Spots” Emission Inventory Criteria and Guidelines Regulation were approved by the Office of Administrative Law and filed with the Secretary of State on August 27, 2007. The rulemaking will become operative in 30 days. The amendments provide guidance to local air districts and regulated facilities on how to incorporate stationary diesel engines in the AB 2588 Program. Amendments also address a small number of portable diesel engines in 2010 that may pose a significant health risk. The amendments also may trigger the evaluation of a small number of diesel engines at agricultural operations beginning in 2012.
