Posted: 20 Mar 2013 09:13:07
California Air Resources Board (ARB) staff has posted four new Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) pathways to the LCFS web site. Three of the newly posted pathways are Method 2 applications and one is a staff-developed Method 1 pathway. All are available on at http://www.arb.ca.gov/fuels/lcfs/2a2b/2a-2b-apps.htm Pursuant to Regulatory Advisory 10-04, upon posting to the LCFS website, these pathways and their associated carbon intensity values may be used for reporting and credit generation purposes prior to adoption and incorporation into the LCFS regulation. If you have any questions, please contact Wes Ingram, Manager, Fuels Evaluation Section, at (916) 322-3984. The Low Carbon Fuel Standard, a regulation to reduce the carbon intensity of fuels sold in California ten percent by 2020, is one of the measures adopted by the California Air Resources Board, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Sections 38500-38599 (AB 32) to reduce greenhouse gases in California. It is designed to help clean the air, protect the environment, and drive the development of clean, low-carbon fuels to improve California's energy security and energy independence.
