Background: The Air Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) is a
voluntary incentive program administered by ARB providing $30-40
million per year (depending on revenues) through 2015 for a
variety of air quality incentive projects, including low-emission
vehicle and equipment projects, air quality research, and
advanced energy technology workforce training. Each year the
Board approves the AQIP Funding Plan, which serves as the
blueprint for expending AQIP funds during the current fiscal
year.
