Verification of the Donaldson SEF Muffler System for On-Road
Applications. 


The Air Resources Board (ARB) modified the verification of the
Donaldson Semi-Active Electric Filter (SEF) Muffler System.  The
modifications include parts changes and changes to the scope of
the verification.  The SEF Muffler System employs a diesel
oxidation catalyst, heating element, and an un-catalyzed diesel
particulate filter with an Emissions Device Monitor Kit to
achieve an 85 percent reduction in particulate matter emissions,
qualifying it for Level 3 plus verification.  Specific engine
families and conditions for which the SEF Muffler System has been
approved along with the Executive Order will be available shortly
on ARB’s website at:
