arbcombo -- Brief Survey on Vapor Recovery Test Procedures
Posted: 21 Dec 2012 11:14:03
As part of an ongoing effort to improve California’s Enhanced Vapor Recovery (EVR) program, Air Resources Board (ARB) staff has begun coordinating a group of local air district inspectors, service technicians, and equipment manufacturers to review all existing vapor recovery test procedures. Existing vapor recovery test procedures have not been reviewed in many years. Evolutions in vapor recovery equipment, the introduction of in-station diagnostics (ISD), and the increase in vehicles with ORVR may have made some existing test procedures obsolete. There are approximately 25 vapor recovery field test procedures that are commonly used in California. As an individual working in the field of vapor recovery, we are asking for your help in identifying which of these are most in need of revision. You can help us by completing a brief survey, which should take less than 5 minutes of your time. Individual responses to the survey will remain anonymous, and the survey results will only be used for the purpose of prioritizing which vapor recovery equipment test procedures should be revised first. You can access the survey online at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/vapor_recovery_tests If you would like to assist with revision of vapor recovery test procedures, the final question of the survey includes an opportunity to volunteer. We are anxious to get this process underway, so please complete the survey by January 11, 2013. If you have any questions about this survey or the test procedure revision project, contact Scott Bacon at (916) 322-8949 or sbacon@arb.ca.gov You are receiving this single arbcombo email because you are a subscriber to or have made a public comment to one or more of the following lists: south-coast, vapor.
