MEDIA ADVISORY

meetings
Fresno, Parlier and Arvin

FRESNO - The ARB will host two task force meetings and two
community meetings to hear from task force members and residents
about local air quality concerns in the San Joaquin Valley. The
task force is charged to explore ideas to accelerate air quality
progress for the region through additional programs and specific
strategies. The group is comprised of members of
environmental/community groups, local businesses/industries and
government. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions
about current ARB efforts and share ideas on additional measures
to be considered to accomplish cleaner air.

The task force meetings will take place at the San Joaquin
Valley Air Pollution Control District located at 1990 E
Gettysburg Avenue in Fresno and are scheduled as follows:

Wednesday, August 22, 2007
1-5 pm
Thursday, August 30, 2007
10 am-3 pm

The community meetings are scheduled as follows:

Wednesday, August 22, 2007

Wednesday, August 29, 2007

The ARB encourages the attendance of community members and the
media to discuss ways to address their air quality concerns and
let their voices be heard. Input received at these meetings will
be incorporated into a report to present to the ARB and the San
Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District in September.
Additional task force meetings will be held through the end of
the calendar year with a final update to the ARB board members
in January 2008.

Spanish language translation will be available at these events.
