The California Air Resources Board (ARB or Board) is pleased to announce its $11 million fiscal year (FY) 2011-12 HVIP Grant Solicitation. This solicitation is open to individuals, federal, state and local government entities and agencies, and organizations with heavy-duty vehicle, vehicle incentive, or air quality expertise. Applications are due to ARB by January 16, 2012 at 5:00 pm. The grant solicitation and all associated documents may be found on ARB’s webpage at http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aqip/solicitations.htm. ARB will hold an Applicant Workshop to answer questions regarding this grant solicitation on December 15, 2011. The Applicant Workshop will provide an opportunity for potential applicants to ask clarifying questions regarding general application requirements. The HVIP provides vouchers for eligible hybrid and zero-emission vehicles on a first-come, first-served basis, in order to accelerate deployment of these advanced technologies in California. The Board reconfirmed its commitment to this program by directing an additional $11 million towards the HVIP as part of the FY 2011-12 AQIP Funding Plan. This solicitation is for a single grantee to aid ARB in implementing the FY 2011-12 HVIP.
