arbcombo -- Meeting Notice for the August 25 and 26 Low Carbon Fuel Standard Advisory Panel

The California Air Resources Board (ARB) staff has posted the meeting notice and two outlines for the Low Carbon Fuel Standard Advisory Panel meeting. During this two-day meeting, we will discuss a myriad of topics that include: harmonization (topic 13); advances in lifecycle assessment (topic 3); supply and availability (topics 4, 5, 6, and 7); meeting the targets (topics 1 and 2); and environmental impacts (topics 9, 10, and 12). In addition to these topics, staff will provide updates on the economic impacts, HCICO, compliance scenarios, and credit market. There will also be time allotted for public comments and open discussion. The Low Carbon Fuel Standard, a regulation to reduce the carbon intensity of fuels sold in California ten percent by 2020, is one of the measures adopted by the California Air Resources Board, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Sections 38500-38599 (AB 32) to reduce greenhouse gases in California. It is designed to help clean the air, protect the environment, and drive the development of clean, low-carbon fuels to improve California's energy security and energy independence.
