arbcombo -- AB32 Mandatory Commercial Recycling Measure

Posted: 15 Jul 2011 11:05:26
CalRecycle staff is presenting the changes made to the proposed
AB32 Mandatory Commercial Recycling draft regulation since the
January Workshop. The proposed mandatory commercial recycling
regulation will reduce greenhouse gases by focusing waste
reduction within the commercial sector and requiring businesses
and multifamily units of 5 units or more that produce more than
four cubic yards of solid waste per week to recycle. Recycled
materials can include, but are not limited to paper, plastics,
glass, metals, cardboard, organics, food waste, and construction
and demolition materials. The GHG emissions reductions goal for
this measure is estimated to be 5 MMTCO2E.

The workshop will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, from 1:30
p.m. until 4:30 p.m. in the Byron Sher Auditorium located at
CalEPA, 1001 I Street, Sacramento, CA 95814.

The Draft Proposed Regulation, the Summary of the Proposed
Regulation, and the workshop presentation have been posted.
