The Semiconductor Emissions Estimate Calculator has been updated and is available here . http://www.arb.ca.gov/cc/semiconductors/calculator/calculator.htm This emissions estimate calculator tool has been updated. The tool is designed to assist in benchmarking and calculating greenhouse gas emissions from semiconductor operations, using the 2006 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Tier 2b methodology. The tool was developed in response to stakeholder requests. Its use is voluntary. The tool can be used to help owners and operators calculate emissions required by the semiconductor regulation, which became effective on January 1, 2010. The Air Resources Board staff developed this tool in consultation with stakeholders over the past several months. The purpose of the semiconductor regulation is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from semiconductor operations pursuant to the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 (Health & Safety Code, sections 38500 et. seq.). This regulation was voted on by the Board on February 26, 2009, and on December 14, 2009, the California Office of Administrative Law approved this regulation and filed it with the Secretary of State. The regulation became effective January 1, 2010.
