General information about the Consumer Products Program is available at the following address: http://www.arb.ca.gov/consprod/consprod.htm. Background: ARB’s Consumer Products Program is an important part of overall efforts to reduce the amount of smog-forming volatile organic compounds (VOC), toxic air contaminants and greenhouse gases that are emitted from the use of chemically formulated consumer products. ARB’s consumer products regulations have resulted in projected emissions reductions of nearly 50 percent since 1990, but more needs to be done to meet health-based air quality standards. The proposed amendments are designed to further reduce the amount of VOCs emitted from various categories of consumer products. If you have any questions or comments regarding the public workshop or the materials posted, please contact Nicholas Berger at (916) 327-1516 or by email at nberger@arb.ca.gov.
