consprod -- Consumer & Commercial Products Survey for the Technical Assessment for Automotive Maintenance and Repair (AMR) Products
Posted: 15 Mar 2010 15:43:19
This message is to inform you of the opportunity to provide information on your research and development efforts to comply with the upcoming 10 percent VOC limits for the Brake Cleaner, Carburetor or Fuel-Injection Air Intake Cleaner, and General Purpose Degreaser (aerosol) categories. The Air Resources Board (ARB/Board) directed staff, through Resolution 06-42, to conduct an assessment of manufacturers’ progress towards complying with these limits, which become effective December 31, 2010. Board Resolution 06-42 can be found at: http://www.arb.ca.gov/regact/cpwg2006/res0642updated.pdf The technical assessment forms have been posted to the following website: http://www.arb.ca.gov/consprod/regact/autotech/autotech.htm While providing information on your research and development efforts is optional, we encourage all responsible parties for Brake Cleaners, Carburetor or Fuel-Injection Air Intake Cleaners, and aerosol General Purpose Degreasers sold in California to complete the questionnaire. Most of the questionnaire can be completed by simply checking one or more boxes to answer several questions. One form is to be completed for each product category in which you sell products. The data you provide will help us determine whether the compliance date of December 31, 2010, remains feasible. We are requesting that you return your completed form(s) to us by April 30, 2010. Please submit completed reporting forms by April 30, 2010, to: California Air Resources Board Stationary Source Division Air Quality Measures Branch P.O.
