ordiesel -- SAVE THE DATE: February 10 Off-road Diesel Training for Large Fleets
Posted: 25 Jan 2010 09:59:31
ARB will be hosting a training seminar on the 2010 Off-road Diesel Vehicle requirements for large fleets in Sacramento on the morning of February 10th, 2010. This seminar will be aimed at helping large fleets understand the requirements related to the March 1, 2010, compliance date, and following a brief overview of the regulation for large fleets will provide information on: • New Reduced Horsepower and Reduced Activity Credits – Many, if not most, fleets will be able to use these credits so that they will not need to install retrofits or turn over vehicles prior to the March 1, 2010 compliance deadline. We will discuss how to claim the credits, what records need to be submitted, etc. • DOORS 2010 Compliance Summary – We will go over how to view your fleet’s compliance status in DOORS. • Fleet Average Calculator Examples – We will provide examples of how to use the calculator (revised in September 2009) to plan for compliance. • Retrofit Visibility – We will provide an overview of how to use the ARB/OSHA visibility assessment methodology to evaluate a vehicle prior to installing a retrofit to be sure it does not create a visibility impairment, and how to apply for a temporary retrofit exemption if this is not possible for a specific vehicle. ARB plans to webcast this seminar, and will follow up this save-the-date notice with more information on the exact time and webcast information as soon as possible. Please note that this training is not intended as an overview of the in-use off-road diesel vehicle regulation. Such an overview is available via ARB’s course 512; for more information, please see http://www.arb.ca.gov/training/courses.php?course=512
