A brief description: Boilers are one of the most common emission
sources and range in use from small fire tube boilers to large
utility boilers associated with power plant facilities. The
course discusses uses of boilers, heat transfer methods and
fundamentals of operation of modern industrial and utility
boilers including those fired by natural gas, biomass, municipal
waste and coal (circulating fluidized bed units).

utility industry, stationary gas turbines have become more
popular in recent years as combined-cycles, peaking power plants
and cogeneration facilities. The course discusses uses of gas
turbines, fundamentals of operation of modern turbines with
emphasis on state-of-the-art controls to achieve some of the
lowest emission concentrations for this source category.

A brief description: The Basic Inspector Academy (BIA) is
designed to teach environmental agency inspectors and other
environmental compliance professional's core knowledge and skills
to encourage cross media awareness needed to conduct quality
inspections.
A prerequisite to the classroom portion of the Academy is an
online course.

Course 340: Gasoline Facilities Phase I and II Seminar

A brief description: As of April 1st 2009 13,000 Gas stations
were required to have one of the four CARB certified vapor
recovery systems installed. This two day seminar presents a
