What's New List Serve Post Display

The Air Resources Board is excited to announce two funding
opportunities that are now available to help small fleets upgrade
their trucks and reduce their emissions!. The Voucher Incentive
Program (VIP) provides funding to replace 1993 and older,
high-polluting vehicles with 2007 and newer, lower-polluting
vehicles.  The Providing Loan Assistance for California Equipment
(PLACE) Program is a program that increases the availability of
loan funding available to help fleets reduce emissions.  Below
are quick summaries of each program and websites for more
information. 

The Carl Moyer Memorial Air Quality Attainment Program on-road
heavy-duty vehicle Voucher Incentive Program is now available!
The VIP offers funding amounts of either $30,000 or $35,000 for
small fleets (3 or less vehicles) to replace their older
heavy-duty diesel vehicles with a new or used 2007 or newer model
year vehicles. 

To participate, must have:

·         Owned and operated in California 75% of the time for
the previous 2 years

·         1-3 heavy-duty diesel vehicles in their fleet

·         Old diesel vehicles with a declared Gross/Combined
Gross Vehicle Weight range greater than 60,000 lbs.  (Based on
the filing of DMV REG4008 with the Department of Motor Vehicles)

·         Operated a minimum of 30,000 miles per year or
consumed 4700 gallons of diesel fuel per year during the previous
two years

Providing Loan Assistance for California Equipment (PLACE)
Program for on-road vehicles is also available now! The program
provides financial assistance to “near-bankable” fleet owners
unable to obtain affordable financing in today’s tight credit
market.  

To participate, must have:

·         20 or fewer on-road heavy-duty vehicles subject to the
new truck rules

·         Fewer than 100 employees

·         Less than $10 million in annual revenue

·         Primarily conducts business in California
