arbcombo -- Correction to engine family list for Johnson Matthey CRT
Posted: 21 Oct 2008 14:21:43
Correction of the engine family list for Johnson Matthey CRT DPF for On-road Applications. The Air Resources Board revised the engine family list in Attachment 1 of Executive Order DE-07-002-01 to correct a typographical error. The Johnson Matthey Continuously Regenerating Technology (CRT) Particulate Filter is verified as a level 3 passively regenerating diesel emission control system for use with all on-road applications powered by certain on-road diesel engines with model years between 1994 and 2006. Approved engines are certified to a particulate matter emission level equal to or less than 0.1 grams per brake horsepower-hour and are not equipped with exhaust gas recirculation systems. The Johnson Matthey CRT uses a cordierite wall-flow filter with an upstream diesel oxidation catalyst for regeneration to achieve an 85 percent reduction in emissions of diesel particulate matter. Specific conditions for which the CRT has been approved may be found in the Executive Order DE-07-002-02 which will be posted within ten days on the ARB website at http://www.arb.ca.gov/diesel/verdev/verdev.htm .
