This message is to inform you of updates to our website regarding the second public workshop to Discuss AB 32 Discrete Early Actions for Reducing Emissions of Greenhouse Gases hosted by the California Air Resources Board (ARB). As indicated in our March 19, 2007 transmittal, the workshop will be held on April 23, 2007 at the Headquarters of the California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal/EPA) located at 1001 I Street, Sacramento, CA 95812. The workshop will begin at 1:30 p.m. and take place on the second floor of the Cal/EPA Headquarters in the Byron Sher Auditorium. NOTE: Please be aware that the ARB website will be undergoing some maintenance during late Friday through the weekend on the dates of April 20-22. The draft document titled “Proposed Early Actions to Mitigate Climate Change in California” and the meeting agenda for the workshop will be available on a temporary ARB web site from Friday the 20th mid-day until late Sunday the 22nd for the public to download at the following link: http://www.arb.ca.gov/homepage.htm From late afternoon on Sunday the 22nd, the same draft document titled “Proposed Early Actions to Mitigate Climate Change in California” and the meeting agenda for the workshop will be available for download and review on our Climate Change web page at the address below: http://www.arb.ca.gov/cc/cc.htm The objective of the workshop is to inform the identification of early actions the ARB can implement in the near term pursuant to AB 32 – The California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006. AB 32 requires the Board to publish a list of discrete early action measures by June 30, 2007, and to adopt regulations that are enforceable by January 1, 2010. The April 23, 2007 public workshop will be webcast.
