Diesel emission control strategies (DECS) now available for Public Agency and Utility Group 1 vehicles. Verified DECS are now available for Group 1 engines to meet BACT. ARB has recently issued Advisory, MSC 07-10, concerning compliance extensions for Group 1 municipal and utility vehicles. During the Air Resources Board's (ARB) training seminars on the Fleet Rule for Public Agencies and Utilities in October and November 2006, verified devices were not available for Group 1 engines. ARB discussed the possibility of providing a blanket compliance extension for Group 1 engines.
