arbcombo -- SCAQMD Off-road Emission Reduction Tech. Forum

On April 13, 2007, ARB staff forwarded an announcement to multiple ARB list serves on behalf of the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) for their "Off-road Emission Reduction Technology Forum and Roundtable Discussion" (Discussion) scheduled for May 1, 2007. Since forwarding the SCAQMD announcement, some individuals have inquired if ARB is a party or sponsor of these Discussions. ARB staff would like to clarify that while ARB staff will participate in this Discussion at the request of the SCAQMD, the Discussion has been organized solely by the SCAQMD and without the input of ARB staff. Also, the Discussion is not a part of the ARB's regulatory development efforts for the proposed in-use off-road diesel vehicle regulation, currently scheduled to be considered by the ARB Board at a May meeting (more information on this proposed regulation, including how to submit comments, may be found at http://www.arb.ca.gov/regact/regact07.htm). The Discussion is also not a part of the ARB's State Implementation Plan development efforts (more information on these efforts may be found at http://www.arb.ca.gov/planning/sip/2007sip/2007sip.htm).
