This Manufacturers Advisory Correspondence (MAC) is being submitted to clarify the amended electronic filing of the Emission Warranty Information Report (EWIR). The MAC is applicable to 2010 and later model year passenger cars, light-duty trucks, medium-duty vehicles, medium-duty engines, heavy-duty vehicles, heavy-duty engines, and motorcycles. It also provides guidelines allowing manufacturers to opt-in early to the requirements of title 13, California Code of Regulations, section 2167, which became effective on January 4, 2008.
