arbcombo -- Release Drafts of Lifecycle Analysis for Fuel Pathways using CA-Modified GREET Model

As part of the Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) Regulatory Process, staff of the Air Resources Board has posted draft documents on our LCFS website. These describe the CA-modified GREET model approach for the following fuel pathways: • Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD); • CA Reformulated Gasoline Blendstock for Oxygenate Blending (CARBOB); • Corn Ethanol; • California Reformulated Gasoline (CaRFG); • Natural Gas (CNG); • Electricity These draft pathways have been completed based on the CA-modified GREET model, which does not include land use impacts, either direct or indirect. The CA-modified model (greet1.7ca_v98.xls) is available for download from the Low Carbon Fuel Standard website at http://www.arb.ca.gov/fuels/lcfs/lcfs.htm . Staff is seeking comments for these documents which will be discussed during the LCFS Life Cycle Analysis Working Group meeting on May 2, 2008, starting at 9:00 A.M. After the discussions, staff will review the comments received and modify the pathways as necessary.
