The Small Off-Road Engine (SORE) working group will meet via
conference call from 8:30-10:30 AM (PST) on October 27, 2017.
The meeting is being held to discuss 1) draft questions for a
survey of California households to assess SORE population and
usage, 2) a draft test plan for exhaust emission testing of SORE
in support of future tightened emission standards, and 3) the
South Coast Air Quality Management District’s commercial electric
lawn and garden equipment incentive and exchange program in
environmental justice areas.

Background: The primary purpose of the working group is to
discuss emissions mitigation opportunities related to SORE. The
working group also discusses technical aspects of rulemaking for
SORE as needed.
