arbcombo -- Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) Tier 2 Pathway Release for Public Comment

Today LCFS staff are releasing four Tier 2 pathways for soy oil, used cooking oil, tallow, and corn oil used to produce renewable diesel at the Diamond Green facility in St. Charles (Louisiana) for a 10-day public comment period. The public comment period will end March 20, 2017 at 5:00 PM (PST). Background on the LCFS The Low Carbon Fuel Standard is a regulation to reduce the carbon intensity of fuels sold in California. The LCFS is one of the measures adopted by the California Air Resources Board, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Sections 38500-38599 (AB 32) to reduce greenhouse gases in California. It is designed to help clean the air, protect the environment, and drive the development of clean, low-carbon fuels to improve California's energy security and energy independence.
