Dear Honorable Chairman Mary Nichols & members of the Board,

My name is Miguel Ortega. I am a concerned resident of the city of
Commerce, California. Today I want to address my support for the
Truck & Bus and Greenhouse Gas regulations. 

In Commerce, there is a tremendous amount of truck traffic: we
have the I-710 and I-5 FWYs. Not to mention, that there are also
two major rail yard facilities on each side of my community. 

Today you can vote to pass a resolution that could affect you as
well as our community, and enforce the toxic emission regulation
throughout the state. 

I urge you to pass this resolution for the following reasons:

Our state cannot continue to stand as deadly diesel pollution
causes hundreds of premature deaths each year.

Our state cannot continue to stand as 71,000 new cases of asthma
and other respiratory symptoms make our children's lives
miserable. 

Our state cannot continue to stand when we already know that the
biggest source of pollution in our state and regions are all due to
diesel pollution. 

Please take action, and stop our state's inaction towards helping
end global warming.
