| Comment | As a physician I am writing to urge that you adopt the strongest possible regulation of diesel particulate and ozone pollution. Diesel exhaust causes and exacerbates asthma, chronic lung disorders, heart disease and cancer, particularly affecting people who live near heavily traveled freeways and truck routes. This disproportionate affects poor and minority communities, whose children, in turn, show high rates of asthma and chronic lung conditions. Please adopt the strongest possible regulation of diesel emissions. |
