No. There's nothing else to say but No to this insane proposal. It
is none of the government's business what pressure I keep in my
tires, period. It is none of the government's business what color
my car is, or how many gallons of water it takes to flush my
toilet, or how I choose to light my house, or whether I want to
smoke tobacco or something else, or if I want to eat food made with
trans-fat, or ride a motorcycle without a helmet, or any of
hundreds if not thousands of intrusions the government wishes to
make in my private lift. No, squelch the madness right now and
forget this tire inflation farce, if for no other reason that it's
none of the government's business. Furthermore, I am an Astronomy
professor, and I can state without reservation that the proposed
justification i.e., anthropogenic global warming, for this
ridiculous intrusion is a non-issue, a hoax, a political brickbat.
The Earth warms and cools at the whim of the Sun and other energy
systems that dwarf anything we puny humans can do.
