This proposal takes "nanny" government to new heights in its degree
and is positively Orwellian in scope. The threat to criminalize
ordinary citizens over something so petty and ineffective in
stemming the targeted problem as to be worthy of the former Soviet
Union at its worst. We went to war with England and George III over
this degree of meddling in the lives and economies of American
citizens. How DARE you threaten to criminalize us! Who the Hell do
you people think you are??? I believe this legislation would pit
the state against the People in a monumental legal battle that
would further contribute to the bankrupting of our state economy,
only to have it overturned, anyway! I would certainly contribute to
legal action against the state. It would also further contribute to
the outflow of tax-paying citizens to other states, further
exacerbating the economic woes of the state. Get off your high
horses and stop trying to legislate every aspect of our private
lives! You have NO RIGHT to do so!
